Description
Sorubim lima, also known as the lima shovelnose catfish can often we found in parts of South America and throughout the Amazon. These catfish are scavengers and can reach lengths up to 14 to 18 inches. They have a temperamental behavior and are part of the aggressive predatory family of pimelodidae. In their natural habit in the wild they hunt of a variety of food including but not limited to small crustaceans, fish, insects, and worms.
