Description
The peckoltia is found in parts of the Amazon River that runs through Venezuela. Fully grown it can reach 4 inches. Its body color can range from pale yellow to quite a vivid orange, and it possesses a striking black pattern along the length of its body. They are very peaceful with other tank mates and make a great addition to most aquariums. They are not particularly territorial to other species but can sometimes argue amongst themselves over space. Lots of hiding places in the form of caves and rocks can help prevent this. They are omnivorous in diet and need a combination of meaty based foods and also algae pellets.
