Description
The Yellow Fogo peacock Bass is new sub species found in the same location as the red fogo. Originally from a river in a remote part of Brazil, it is very hard to reach and transport the fish. For this reason, it is not found in the hobby very often.
Cichla mirianae is distinguished by three narrow vertical bars and numerous ocellated spots scattered along body sides.
When juveniles, the Fogo peacock have yellow bodies with a single black stripe horizontally along their body.
